Beauty products can really add up after awhile, and sometimes it can be exceptionally frustrating. Maybe money is tight. Maybe you're just not that into makeup so you don't want to spend a boatload of your money on it. Or maybe you just want to experiment with different products. Doesn't matter - you just want to look good without breaking the bank!
Whatever your reasons are, I've created a list of products that will cover an entire, full-face look for less than $50 total. To be clear, I only considered products that I've personally used and liked. Of those, I picked the cheapest ones in order to get the most of your money. (A list of my all-around favorite drugstore products, regardless of price, will come later!)
To see the list, flip through the slideshow or read below for a text-only version!
Foundation: Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse - $8.99
This foundation goes on with light to medium coverage, but can be layered and built up to fuller coverage without looking cakey. It isn't heavy, and it gives the skin a nice satin, glowy finish.
Concealer: Maybelline Superstay - $7.49
This concealer will stay on FOREVER. One time in college I was running around campus and got ridiculously red-faced and sweaty, but pictures from that day look great because this concealer did not freaking budge. Word of advice: make sure your skin is moisturized...long-lasting products sometimes highlight dryness, and this is no exception.
Blush/Bronzer: e.l.f. Studio Blush & Bronzing Powder - $3.00
This is a great duo of universally-flattering shades of blush and bronzer similar to Nars in "Orgasm" and "Laguna". Use the bronzer either as a contour shade or just to warm up your cheeks and temples.
Mascara: L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black - $8.49
This is one of my all-time favorite mascaras. It makes my eyelashes look so thick and long, and doesn't come off on me during the day no matter how much I rub my eyes (and I rub them a lot). In fact, the worst part about this mascara is that it IS difficult to take off, so you will need a designated eye makeup remover.
Eyeliner: Physicians Formula Eye Definer Pencil - $5.69
DA BOMB. End of story.
Eyeshadows: Wet N' Wild Color Icon Palette - $4.99
I don't know how this palette is so cheap because oh my gosh it is so good. The pigmentation is so opaque, the texture is creamy, and the colors work well for a variety of looks. Just be careful to not drop it - I made that mistake, and it crumbled into a mess of broken eyeshadows beyond repair. TIP: To make your eyeshadow last longer without spending money on a primer or base, apply a little foundation on your lids before applying your eyemakeup. This will give your eyeshadows something to grip to, making it bolder and helping it to last longer. If you did want to add in a cheap primer, go for NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk!
Brows: NYX Eyebrow Cake - $6.00
I love this product because it comes with two different shades of powder, a wax to keep your brows in place so you don't need to purchase an additional brow gel, AND a brush to apply it with.
Lipstick: Wet N' Wild MegaLast Lipstick - $1.99
Similar to the eyeshadow palette, I don't know how these are so cheap when they are so creamy and pigmented! They aren't super long-lasting, but most lipsticks aren't, and the best part is that they don't make my lips any dryer than they already are.
Lipgloss: NYX Butter Gloss - $5.00
If you aren't a lipstick person or if you just like some extra shine, these are lightweight and pigmented lipglosses that feel so nice. The texture is smooth and moisturizing, though, again, not the longest lasting of the bunch.
